🌀 From Sacred to Playful: Finding Balance in Energy Work

For a long time, I approached energy work with a sense of deep seriousness. And for good reason. It was a lifeline—a tool that helped me release deep-seated trauma, reconnect with my body, and find my voice after years of suppressing it. This work has held me through the rawest and most beautiful parts of my journey, and because of that, I’ve treated it as sacred.

But here's something I’ve come to realise:

Just because the work is sacred doesn’t mean it can’t be playful.

Energy work is an incredible tool for transformation, healing, and awakening. But it’s also a way to experience joy, lightness, and presence. There’s a kind of reverence in letting yourself be light. There’s wisdom in play. There’s deep integration in moments of laughter, spontaneity, and ease.

I used to think that if I wasn’t feeling something intense during a session—or if I wasn’t weeping, shaking, or breaking through a layer of resistance—then it wasn’t “working.” But that’s just not true.

Some of the most powerful activations happen in the soft moments. In the stillness. In the giggles. In the dance.

I’m learning to let both exist. To honour the sacred and make room for the silly. To treat the work with reverence and let my inner child play in the field. To cry and laugh. To dig deep and float.

So if you’ve ever felt like you needed to approach healing with total seriousness, like every session had to be “big” or cathartic—maybe it’s time to invite a little more softness. Maybe it’s time to exhale and play.

Because energy wants to move. And sometimes? It moves better when we’re having fun.
