Psychic Gifts & Energy Work — What Opened Me

People often ask me when I first realised I was psychic.The honest answer? I didn’t. Not right away.

I wasn’t the kid who saw spirits or knew things I shouldn’t have. I didn’t grow up with a crystal ball or tarot cards on my bedroom floor. I didn’t think of myself as someone with “gifts.” If anything, I was sensitive in ways that felt inconvenient. Overwhelmed in crowded rooms. Shaky after arguments. Exhausted by things other people seemed to move through easily.

It took me years to understand that what I was feeling wasn’t mine. That I was picking up on energy. That the sensations in my body weren’t random—they were intuitive information trying to speak through me.

And it wasn’t until I began working with energy—intentionally, reverently—that those gifts started to come online.

Energy work was the bridge. It gave me language for what I’d always felt. It gave me tools to clear out what wasn’t mine. To come back into my body. To discern truth from distortion.

And slowly, the messages started to come.

Not like a movie. Not always clear.At first, it was a flutter in my chest. A phrase landing out of nowhere. A strong emotional hit in the middle of a session that didn’t belong to me. A sudden image, memory, or whisper that wasn’t from this world but still felt familiar.

Mediumship came next. Not because I chased it—but because I finally had the capacity to hold what came through.That’s the part I think a lot of people miss.

It’s not about opening yourself up as wide as you can and letting everything in.It’s about building the strength and stability to stay grounded while receiving.It’s about making your body a safe place for spirit to land.

This work requires devotion. Not because you’re trying to “get better” at channeling, but because you want to be clear. Clean. Humble in your relationship to the unseen.
